I adore this Statement Wallpaper called 'Paradiso' from Holden Decor £44.98 per roll.
I have used it to do exactly that, make a statement on my fireplace where the beautiful rich, luxurious texture from the flocking (never thought I'd hear myself saying the 'f' word in my interior experience let alone contemplate a flocked wallpaper in my own home!) against the almost black background just works so well with our cherry wood fireplace...kinda sexy actually.
Statement wallpapers are big news in interiors right now...however, use sparingly...They can just over power and take over a room! A fireplace/chimney breast or small feature walls are where they work best. Keep them in perspective. Less is definitely more...
